Clay Pot PAPER Print

Announcing the exciting new free art workshops and outings for participants over 50

At Holly Cottage, 2 Gates Road, Hackham. Come along and join in the fun of learning new art skills.

Clay – Get your hands dirty and build a pot or sculpture. Coil and carve it, paint it, add clay shapes to it, anything is possible. We will fire it in the kiln and the result is an enduring keepsake for your garden, home, or a present for a friend.

Dates:  Monday 19th March (Studio), Monday 26th March (Studio) and on Monday 9th April 2018, clay related field trip, from 10.30am to 3pm each day.

Paper Making & Rusting Effects – A basic “come & try” paper-making experience where you learn to make 10 – 15 x A5 sheets of paper, using recycled paper & inclusions as selected. Then learn about creating lovely abstract, rust-coloured effects in lines, curves, spot or splashes; dip your papers in the vats & create a landscape look in layers & shades. The results & colours are unpredictable but very satisfying.

Dates:  Monday 19th March – Rusting Effects (Studio), Monday 26th March – Paper Making (Studio) and on Wednesday 11th April 2018, paper related field trip, from 10.30am to 3pm each day.

Printmaking – Come and try some simple printmaking processes, during these fun workshops. Experiment with creating “plates” from which you will be able to print artworks to take home, with an amazing excursion to print exhibitions.

Dates:  Wednesday 4th April (Studio), Wednesday 18th April at Willunga Gallery, print related field trip on Monday 23rd April 2018, from 10.00am to 2.30pm each day.
